The drama surrounding the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) over the past two months has taken a new twist.

Latest reports indicate that the headquarters of Nigeria’s football governing body is ablaze with fire.

The incident has been confirmed by the Press Secretary of the NFF, Ademola Olajire. According to African Football, a top official on the ground revealed, “The whole place is in total confusion. You cannot pick a pin from the office of the general secretary as it has been totally gutted.”

Fire-fighters are already on the scene and efforts are being made to put out the inferno, which is believed to have started on the third floor of the Glass House.

This latest development follows on the heels of an epic power tussle at the helm of the NFF, with the body split in two factions over its leadership position. FIFA had to intervene only last week, throwing out an impeachment action of erstwhile President Aminu Maigari and ordering his reinstatement.
