Bony: I’ll be better next season
Manchester City’s Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony has promised City fans that they will see the best of him next season.
Bony, 26, missed City’s derby loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday with ankle and knee injuries – but vowed to the fans that they will see the real Bony next season.
“Yes it’s been very frustrating, first because of injury and second because we are not winning games,” Bony told The Sunday People.
“No one expects you to be 100 per cent in the first few weeks. I’m working very hard to get it back.
“It’s not coming as I would have expected and it’s not 100 per cent yet but I hope to get quicker and score more.
“I still want to do something this season but next season I will be very good.” he added.
Bony moved to The Etihad in a deal worth a reported £28m from fellow EPL side Swansea but has struggled to replicate his Liberty Stadium form.
