AS Roma are considering a move for Cagliari’s Paul-Jose M’Poku who is yet to join the Serie A club on a permanent basis.

The 23-year-old DR Congo international is still yet to join the Serie B side permanently, having been relegated to the second division and taken the winger on loan from Al-Arabi with the option to buy.

It is expected the club will sign the winger permanently, before selling to the Giallorossi, who are thought to be interested.

M’Poku scored three goals and made two assists in 16 Serie A games, during his spell on loan.

Roma have ties with the Sardinian club, having previously signed Nainggolan, Victor Ibarbo and Davide Astori in co-ownership deals.

M’poku has represented Belgium from Under-15 level to Under-21s, before choosing to represent the African nation.

He is also attracting interest from newly-promoted Premier League side Watford.
